Economic Inclusion

Removing the barriers that keep people locked out of the formal economy.

  • Our Approach

Opportunity Shouldn't Depend on Where You Started

For displaced and vulnerable communities, the biggest obstacle to economic stability often isn't a lack of skill or ambition it's exclusion from the systems everyone else relies on. Without a bank account, formal identification, or the legal right to work, even the most capable person can be shut out of steady income and long-term financial security.

Our Economic Inclusion programs work to break down these barriers. We help people access basic financial services savings accounts, mobile money and credit often for the first time, so they have a safe way to save, send money and build a financial history. Alongside this, we provide financial literacy coaching that builds confidence with budgeting, credit and the everyday financial systems that unlock long-term stability.

We also advocate for the bigger structural changes that make lasting inclusion possible pushing for the legal right to work, recognition of prior qualifications, and access to mainstream financial institutions for those the system too often leaves behind. Because true economic inclusion isn't just about opportunity; it's about removing the barriers that stand in its way.
