Innovation Labs
Designing and testing the next generation of humanitarian solutions.
- Our Approach
The Status Quo Isn't Good Enough
Too many humanitarian problems are met with the same solutions that have existed for decades even when better, cheaper or more effective options exist. Our Innovation Labs exist to challenge that, designing, testing and scaling new solutions specifically built for the realities of crisis and displacement.
We work directly with communities and frontline teams to pilot new approaches from low-cost digital tools that extend services into hard-to-reach or insecure areas, to simplified treatment protocols that are cheaper and easier to deliver at scale without sacrificing effectiveness. Every idea is tested rigorously in real humanitarian settings before we consider expanding it, because an innovation that only works on paper doesn't help anyone.
We also focus on making sure good ideas don't stall after a small pilot. By connecting proven solutions with the funding, partnerships and systems needed to scale, we help innovations move from a promising local trial to something that can reach millions of people facing similar challenges elsewhere.
