Women & Girls
Placing women and girls at the center of recovery, resilience and lasting change.
- Our Approach
When Women Thrive, Communities Thrive
Women and girls are often hit hardest by conflict, displacement and poverty — facing greater risk of violence, exclusion from education, and loss of economic independence. Yet they are also among the strongest forces for recovery in any community, often holding families and neighborhoods together through crisis.
Across our programs, we work to ensure the specific needs and rights of women and girls are never an afterthought. That means protecting them from gender-based violence, expanding their access to education and healthcare, and creating real pathways to economic independence through skills training and livelihoods support.
We integrate a gender-responsive approach across all our work — education, health, humanitarian response and community development — because lasting change is only possible when half the population isn't left behind.
